What is the Improv S.O.S. Workshop?
(Self, Objects, Space)
As improvisors we KNOW we don’t want to just stand and do talking head scenes, we want to be more physical but what does that mean and how can we actually do that in a way that is instinctual, playful and simple. This workshop delves into how we explore physicality in Improvisation through the Self, our Objects and Space. Practical tools and playful exploration will lead to making choices that surprise even yourself. We will Move, play and get out of our heads and into our bodies.
Come give voice to the thing you live inside all the time!
This workshop is highly experimental: dress comfortably and bring water. There will be sweat.
Andel Sudik is a director, improviser, actor and writer based in L.A. and Chicago known for her explosive energy onstage and int he classroom as well as her experiential teaching styles. She is a faculty member of the Second City who has been a pioneer in the comedy world for over 50 years.
